Yes it is time for our Spring Recruits. Not sure how we can have more fun then we had last Fall, but this next Recruits is going be great!
So far we have added all kinds of tournaments and competitions just to get you going. Besides the traditional DBA and Warmachine tournaments we have always held, we are also offering another Flames of War Qualifying round.
We have several new events to tempt you! We are proud to announce that Recruits will be hosting, a challenging Euro Style Board game tournament with the help of BLOCKHEAD! The Kansas City Board Gamers. Also new to our tournament listing is a Highlander Card game event as well as an Axis & Allies War at Sea Tournament and a Heroscape Tournament on Sunday.
Recruits and Above & Beyond Games will be sponsoring 2 causes to support our troops during the Recruits Convention. Cell Phones for Soldiers, a cell phone recycling program, and Games for Troops, a A&B Games sponsored Care Package. More Info
We have added one new change that has nothing to do with gaming: We have made a slight admissions fee change. The new fee for a weekend of fun and gaming is now $5.00.
We will continue to hold Recruits in the Field House, the location of the past two Recruits conventions on our Lee’s Summit High School Campus. We are really trying to see how much this new spot can hold, so besides these new offerings, you can still count on trying your hand at the figure painting competitions or finding yet another way to fit more games and gear into your storage space by visiting our vendors and Silent Auction.
As ever, no Recruits can be successful without the willingness of gamemasters to share their time and talents with us on our three-day gaming fest. RECRUITS is primarily designed to introduce new players from all over the Midwest to miniature gaming. New gamers both young and old find RECRUITS an exciting introduction to Historical, Science Fiction, or Fantasy miniature and board games. To see what you may have missed, we have lots of great photos for you to look at from last year's RECRUITS.
RECRUITS also is an opportunity for experienced gamers to get together to have two fun filled days of miniature gaming and share in the joy of introducing new blood into the hobby.
